paula roush is an artist, researcher and publisher working across photography, artists’ publishing and collaborative research. She is the founder of msdm (mobile strategies of display & mediation), a platform for artistic experimentation exploring the intersections between image-making, publishing, ecology and situated knowledge.

Her work investigates how photographs, books, archives, bodies and landscapes co-produce one another through processes of walking, collecting, mapping and place-based inquiry. Working across photobooks, installations, workshops and collaborative projects, she develops methodologies that connect artistic research with ecological thinking, posthumanist perspectives and practices of care.

Recent projects include Liquid Memories, Follow Y/Our River and One Green Eye the Other Blue (Herbarium of the Anthropocene). Her work has been exhibited, published and presented internationally through exhibitions, artist books, conferences and participatory programmes. Based in Lisbon, she works internationally across artistic, editorial and research contexts.

Joan Fontcuberta

Joan Fontcuberta has been active in a wide range of roles in the world of photography as a creator, teacher, critic, exhibition curator, and historian. His work has been exhibited in museums around the world and has been acquired by numerous public collections. Among other honors, he has received the Hasselblad International Photography Award (2013) and the National Photography Award (1998). In 2022, he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Sorbonne — University of Paris 8.

Francesco Careri

Francesco Careri is an architect, co-founder of the Stalker urban art laboratory and Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture, University of Roma Tre, where he is co-director of the Master Studi del Territorio/Environmental Humanities and head of the courses in Architectural Theory, the Architecture and Emerging Communities Design Lab and the itinerant course Civic Arts grounded in walking explorations of neglected suburban areas. He is scientific coordinator of the Laboratorio di Città Corviale and the Laboratorio CIRCO. Among his main publications: Constant. New Babylon, una città nomade, Torino 2001; Walkscapes. Louisa Boeszoermeny

Louisa Boeszoermeny holds a master's degree with distinction in fine arts from Berlin University of the Arts (class Josephine Pryde) and has been a scholarship holder of the German National Academic Foundation from 2020 to 2024. In 2026 she received the Individual Mobility Grant by the Goethe Institute and is nominated for the „Young Art Award“ by the municipal gallery Reinickendorf. She won the UdK Berlin Art Award in 2025 and IBB Prize for Photography in 2023. In 2027 she was awarded the Lette Design Award. In 2025, she took part in the residency Culture moves Europe in Lisbon, coordinated by the Goethe Institute and implemented by Procur.Arte. Louisa Boeszoermeny had her first solo exhibition at Weiss Berlin in 2019. Since 2016, her work has been part of national and international group exhibitions and film festivals. From 2018-2019 she was one of the selected artists of the international photography program Parallel Photo Platform.

Georgs Avetisjans

Georgs Avetisjans is a Latvian-Armenian bookmaker, photographer and designer whose work combines rigorous research with an exploration of contemporary stories through a historical lens. He holds an MA in Photography from the University of Brighton (2016) and is a Lecturer in Photography at the University of Latvia. Having lived and worked in Latvia, the United States, and the United Kingdom, his work has been exhibited internationally.

Avetisjans has been shortlisted for the Les Rencontres d’Arles Photo-Text Book Award and the APhF:24 Book Program, and nominated for the Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award, Magnum Foundation Heat Fellowship, and Vontobel Contemporary Photography Prize. His first photobook, Homeland. The Longest Village in the Country (2018), was named among the year’s best by The British Journal of Photography and The Calvert Journal. He has presented his work internationally and participated in residency and platform programs including PARALLEL, Docking Station, and Procurarte.

Sonia Hamza

Sonia Hamza is a Franco-Moroccan artist whose work explores the construction and transmission of multiple identities. Her work explores the dynamics of displacement, cultural mixing, and territorial narratives. A multidisciplinary artist, she combines photography, textiles and visual writing in her work.

Her work has been presented at international exhibitions and festivals in Europe, Asia, and North Africa, including: The Audiovisual Black & White Festival (Porto, 2013); the Yangon Photo Festival (Myanmar, 2015); the Bangkok Photo Biennale (Thailand, 2018); the Encontros de Imagem (Braga, 2022 – winner of the second Discovery Award); the Galerie Omnius (Arles, 2023); the Abla Ababou Galerie (Rabat, 2023–2024); and the Institut Français de Tétouan (Morocco, 2024). She is among the artists invited to the 2026 Bangkok Art Biennale.
